On Tuesday 13 July, Rushanara Ali MP questioned Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Sajid Javid. 

Rushanara outlined that by mid-August we could see up to 1000 hospitalisations and 200 deaths a day from Covid-19. She said it was completely irresponsible of the Government to lift the legal requirement to wear face masks in enclosed public spaces from Monday 19 July, and urged Sajid Javid to keep masks mandatory in such places.
