On Wednesday 30 June, Rushanara Ali MP questioned the Secretary of State for Education, Gavin Williamson. 

Rushanara identified that nearly 400,000 children were out of school last week due to Covid related reasons. Meanwhile, the Government’s Covid catch up funding is £13.6 billion short of what Sir Kevan Collins recommended. She raised this with Gavin Williamson, who refused to acknowledge this huge funding shortage.
