Remembrance services have taken place to mark the first anniversary of the Grenfell Tower disaster. During the night on 14th June 2017, a fire broke out in the 24-story tower block and 72 people were killed.
Rushanara Ali MP for Bethnal Green and Bow said:
“It is with great sadness that we remember those who tragically lost their lives in the Grenfell Tower fire a year ago today. We must ensure that this never happens again, and we will continue to seek justice for the victims and their families.
My thoughts are with families who have lost loved ones, the survivors and those who live in the local area.”
