On 20 October Rushanara Ali MP spoke at a virtual seminar on the Rohingya crisis hosted by the Commonwealth Secretariat. 

Other speakers at the event included the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, and UK and Bangladesh Foreign Ministers.

Rushanara Ali MP said: 

⁦"Our Government must support efforts to secure justice for the Rohingya by supporting The Gambia's genocide case against Myanmar ⁦at the International Court of Justice."
