“I welcome the news that the UK Government is supportive in principle of bringing the atrocities committed by the Myanmar Armed Forces against the Rohingya before the International Criminal Court (ICC).

This is a crucial step towards justice for the Rohingya. I thank Parliamentary colleagues, the Burma Campaign, other NGOs, campaigners and civil society groups for working with me over the years in pushing the British government to bring the Myanmar Armed Forces before the International Criminal Court. While there is much more to do, this is a welcome development.”
