Rushanara Ali marking the 6th anniversary of the Rohingya refugee crisis

Marking the sixth anniversary of the Rohingya refugee crisis, Rushanara Ali MP said:

"It’s been 6 years since 700,000 Rohingya Muslims were forced to flee their homes to neighbouring Bangladesh following a campaign of genocide and war crimes carried out by the Myanmar military.

Six years on, close to one million refugees remain in camps in Cox’s Bazar. The UK and international community must do more to secure justice for the Rohingya people and ensure they can return home to live in safety and dignity.”
