Rushanara Ali MP Visits Crossrail Development in Whitechapel
On 3rd March, Rushanara Ali, visited the Whitechapel section of the Crossrail development. Given a tour of the tunnel, eastbound and west bound platforms and renovation of original entrance by Crossrail’s Chief Executive, Andrew Wolstenholme OBE, this was Rushanara’s second trip to the site, following an initial visit in November 2013.

Last week, Bethnal Green and Bow MP Rushanara Ali was given a tour of the Crossrail site in Whitechapel. Rushanara met with the Chief Executive of Crossrail, Andrew Wolstenholme OBE, and other senior staff who gave her an update on the development.

Rushanara Ali MP for Bethnal Green and Bow has responded to the news of two further cycling-related deaths in her constituency. A young man was struck by a bus at the junction of Whitechapel Road and Commercial Road in Aldgate yesterday and, on the morning of the same day, a young lady was also tragically killed after being struck by a lorry at Bow roundabout.
