Speaking in the House of Commons last night, Rushanara Ali MP called on the Government to listen to people and drop their damaging NHS Bill. 

Rushanara Ali MP today welcomed the announcement that the Olympic Torch will visit Tower Hamlets on Saturday 21 July 2012 just six days before the Opening Ceremony of the Games.  Rushanara spoke of the opportunity the visit of the Torch would bring to Bethnal Green and Bow.  She also emphasised that we must also continue to work to ensure that the Olympics fulfil their promise for local people.

Rushanara Ali, Member of Parliament for Bethnal Green and Bow, today joined female cyclists at the Fieldgate Bike Project awards, hosted at the Jagonari Centre in Whitechapel.

Rushanara Ali MP joined the Opposition Leader Ed Miliband MP along with other Labour colleagues at the launch of the Silver Star Diabetes Challenge at the Houses of Commons. At the special MPs testing event, held on Wednesday 19th October, Rushanara took the quick and simple Type 2 diabetes test to help raise awareness of the need for public testing for the disease.

Rushanara Ali, Member of Parliament for Bethnal Green and Bow and Shadow Minister for International Development will be visiting Bangladesh to highlight the impact of climate change on communities there.
