On the 5th July 2022, Rushanara Ali MP asked the Secretary of State for Education about the lack of strategic funding for Further Education buildings.

Many Further Education colleges, such as New City College campuses in Tower Hamlets, cannot afford the redevelopment costs to keep up with the demands of a modern workforce. Rushanara raised the funding issue with Minister Alex Burghart and Secretary of State Nadhim Zahawi to ensure colleges can provide the best facilities for their students.
