On the programme, Rushanara was asked about the Government's delay to restrictions easing, and the lack of support it is providing to businesses.  

Rushanara made it clear that the Government has failed to get a grip on this crisis. She said: "The Government's failure to secure our borders against Covid variants has caused the delay to restrictions easing, causing further damage to businesses and livelihoods, and means that people unable to get on with their lives."

Rushanara also urged the Chancellor to extend financial support for businesses who are suffering due to the delay in restrictions easing.
