Rushanara Ali MP joins 150,000 demonstrators in London as Palestinian death toll rises in Gaza

Rushanara Ali MP took to the streets on Saturday with an estimated 150,000 people in what turned out to be the largest demonstration that has taken place in London since the violence began more than a month ago in Israel and Gaza. More than 1,900 Palestinians, mostly civilians, and 67 Israelis, including three civilians, have been killed in the violence. Tens of thousands of demonstrators took the streets on Saturday 19 July in response to the recent escalation of violence between Israel and Gaza. More than 700 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have been killed and 30 Israelis killed since Israel began Operation Protective Edge. Over 100,000 people have been displaced in Gaza.
