On 25 June 2020 Rushanara's opinion piece on the Westferry Development Scandal was published in the Huffington Post.
In the article, Rushanara called on the Government to come clean about its involvement in the Westferry development scandal in Tower Hamlets.
Rushanara Ali MP said:
'The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Robert Jenrick unlawfully approved the housing development and had the audacity to criticise Tower Hamlets Council for negotiating more affordable homes and a better deal for residents.'
